4Excellent picture, remote and sound not so greatNov 09, 2009
This is a great TV and the price is incredible. 1080p, wall-mountable, great picture and good hookups. The sound quality is acceptable, but not bad for builtin speakers; you will want some kind of audio system if possible. Also, the remote is fairly worthless if you want to control anything more than the TV; it's hardly universal.

Set turns on a little slow, but once on the HDMI inputs respond a little faster than many TVs. There is an audio input to use with the VGA port, and it's great. We don't have a DVR and rarely watch live TV, so we stream the shows from a macbook with no problems. The picture quality using the VGA port is extremely good.

5Size fit Entertainment CenterNov 03, 2009
We bought this TV because it was the largest we could find to fit into our entertainment center. Service from the seller was great, and we received it very quickly. The buttons on the remote are a little small and not alway as responsive as we like but it's adequate. Sound volume seems to fluctuate between channels; I'm not sure if this is the TV or the individual stations. All in all, for the price, it was a great buy!

4Resolution issuesOct 16, 2009
When you use this as a computer monitor and choose 1920x1200 resolution, as you should be able to do, some parts of the screen disappear under the edges. I have read this at other sites and not seen a solution - does anyone have one? I am using HDMI connections at both ends. So far I have had to reduce the resolution and now have black bands around the visible area.

3Not a PC Monitor!Oct 14, 2009
I bought this unit mainly for my PC, occasionally watch TV. I thought it is a good idea. Turns out I was completely wrong. Here is the issue:

It does not support 1920x1200 under VGA mode, Using a regular VGA cable the maximum resolution is 1680x1040. To be on full resolution, you need to have DVI output on your PC and a DVI-HDMI convert cable(which costs $30 at tigerdirect). And even after that, the screen still far from sharp. I don't know it was because the convert cable or maybe TV and PC monitor are natively different. But it's just NOT sharp. e.g. on a regular PC monitor most words are completely black, but on this one, some words appear purplish, some appear bluish, no black at all.

As a regular TV this is a good unit, but if you plan to use it as a monitor just like I did, please don't! Try find a real monitor, so called TV/monitor are always compromise.

I ended up exchanging it with a Hannspree iF-281D, and lives happily ever after.

Very nice picture. QAM works fine. Does fine in computer monitor mode.

Gotchas:
Disabled channels reappear. I keep getting Hispanic and infomercial one enabled again that I have zero interest in.

Channels flip at times. I'll be watching NBC and it goes to another NBC and channel switch stops working. I have to select a new channel to get control back. That might be Comcast.

The remote is evidently using proprietary codes. I wrote their support for code # to use with a third party one and they had no idea for this model but offered the older model ones that aren't the same. The remote is awkward and lacks powers so I'd really like to swap it out.

It'd be a 1 or 2 if the picture wasn't decent in all modes.

ADDENDUM:
I came back are lowered the stars to two. It it was a nice computer monitor that would be a one.
