Better than AppleNov 17, 2009 Purchased for my wife who wanted an mp3 player. In my opinion is better than Apple devices. Its memory can be expanded with a microSD card and the latest firmware supports the OGG audio format.
It can be connected to a computer using two protocols:
1. MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)
2. MSC (Mass Storage Class)
The MSC protocol makes the Fuze recognized as a USB drive so it can be used also for data transfer or backup.
I tried it with MS Windows Vista and Linux using both options and it worked well.
The screen is bright, the battery has a long duration and the device is easy to use. The integrated radio is a great idea!
We have been using it for a while without problems.
love it!Nov 11, 2009 I really love this mp3 player. Its interface is really self explanatory, so even a non-tech person like me could figure it out. It sounds great, even through cheap headphones, and there are tons of equalization options. Ive dropped it on pavement about 10 times, and the screen got pretty scratched up, but it still works! If you are the kind of person that tends to drop things, I would get a screen protector. :)
The only minor inconvenience Ive found is having to run video and pictures through a converter. Its really not a big deal though, you just have to wait a few extra minutes.
The video quality isn't amazing, but really, what are you going to be watching on a 1.9 inch screen anyway? All I want to watch are music videos, and the quality is more than enough for that.
Overall, I highly recommend this player!
Purchase Review for SanDisk Sansa Fuze (2GB)Nov 09, 2009 I love this MP3 player. It holds more songs that I can listen to in a day. It converts home movies from my computer that I can watch at random; keeps all of my audiobooks at the tips of my fingers and has playlist & download capabilities so I can hear only what I want to hear while I'm in motion instead of dealing with the frustration of hearing the same random songs over and over again. The display and sound quality are excellent. The life of the battery outlasts me so I'm usually asleep before the player dies on me. That is definitely a plus. My days would be far more stressful if it were not for this fantastic product. Whether you're a student, a parent, or CEO, the SanDisk Sansa Fuze (2GB)is a 'must-have' for the person On-The-Go.
Best MP3 on the marketNov 02, 2009 With memory cards, FM radio and easy to load music, this MP3 is the best on the market. Cannot get this in 2GB any longer, but the 4GB and 8GB are exactly the same in features and quality.
Not for EXERCISINGNov 01, 2009 I read all the great reviews about this and got so excited that I bought it. I haven't been happy with the scandisk since I've own it. The slightest bit of movement and it acts like it skips. You have to be perfectly still to listen to any music on it b/c the slightest bit of movement will mess up the flow of music. Radio or mp3 files. I also struggle with fitting the headphones in correctly. If you push it all the way down nothing plays, so you have to only push it down to the first grove but make sure its not pushed too far in..... Ahh.. its annoying. If you are buying this to use for anytype of movement or exercising. I would suggest buying something else.. This is made for people who don't move.
