now I know....Nov 19, 2009 Yes ...now I know...what fuse goes to what room, what size screw is in what drawer in the workshop, what is in what file in the file folder, names and dates taken on the backs of photos in the frames. Recently I ran an extra long strip to put around the cable and the corresponding number on the back of my audio-video units. I find the extra rolls at office supply, Targets and Walmart in paper, plastic and metallic. No fading, no cracking, and though the print can be small when you do the 2 line option...that is due to my eyes. I recommend this printer.
Too Many BatteriesAug 30, 2009 This label maker does what it is intended for (basic labels), however 6 AAA batteries are about 4 too many in my opinion. The keys are in alphabetical order which is also difficult to get used too. Refills are pricey too and are not readily available at office supply stores.
Nice label maker!Aug 19, 2009 For the price, I am glad I bought this. I use it at work, and it easily prints out the labels I type in, and I have had for almost a year, and still going on the same roll ( use it about twice a month for labeling office supplies )

Display failed after a year or so for no apparent reasonMay 10, 2009 Just like a number of others have reported on this site, the display gave out after a year or so of use although the unit was well taken care of. But while it worked, it was a great little unit - very convenient and efficient. I think I got my money's worth and since I still have left-over label tape (the really expensive part of this proposition), I will probably buy another one.

Works Great for a while THEN DISPLAY FAILSMay 05, 2009 I've had this item (DYMO LetraTag Personal Label Maker 11944 Silver) for almost two years. When I first got it I was happy. It worked as advertised. I didn't use it much. Mostly it sat in the drawer. It looks like new, but the display has failed to the point that I can not read it. THAT SUCKS! It still prints labels fine, but I can not see what I'm typing until I read it on the printed label. Reading Amazon reviews, I see that this is a fairly common problem with this model. I would NOT recommend this item.
