1junk or lemonNov 04, 2009
the battery in mine died after less than one year of light use, now it won't even functin as an inverter, and is in the trash.

4great concept, great inverter, 70 minute batteryOct 24, 2009
when i first came across this i thought i found something that suited all of my needs, and i was right!
so far, i have mainly used the battery function, which is very handy when there aren't any outlets near by.
with my 65 watt laptop, the 4.0 amp/hour battery lasts about 70 minutes(of just operating time, not charging), which adds up to nearly 3 hours of working time(when i use both my laptop's internal battery and this battery).

i haven't really used the inverter yet, i have just tried it in my car for a few minutes.
the inverter worked fine when i tried it, but i have to wait until we go on a car trip to really try it.

EDIT: WTF!!! it has decreased from 100$ to 40$!!!!!

EDIT 2: i have contacted the seller, and they don't want to refund me the difference in price, what a shame...

5Powers an 80 watt Karaoke box for three hoursJul 16, 2009
To provide sound for a water aerobics class that is four lanes wide & 25 yards long, and buffeted by other nearby classes, including childrens' classes, I play a VocoPro Duet Karaoke box at times almost to distortion-loud volume. This it has been a pleasant surprise that this product powers the VocoPro for three hours (but not much longer). The VocoPro is advertised as having an output of 40 watts x 2 = 80 watts. Amazing!

To attempt to learn the difference between this Duracell version of the Powersource & its non-Duracell predecessor, I read both Users Manuals. To my surprise, both are listed as Lithium Ion. The one difference I did note is that the predecessor absolutely can charge only for 24 hours or less at a time, while the Duracell version does not have this restriction.

This Powersource is so light that Water Instructors have taken one home in their purse.

Of interest, all four of my Duracell Powersources have a manufactured date of 8/22/08, whilethe manufactured date of all four of my non-Duracell Powersources is 11/22/06.

2Great for cell phone power, but can't power laptop period....Jun 09, 2009
This product offers the best of both worlds - Power inverter and backup battery... with one problem... the 70-80 Watts (not the 100 Watts advertised) it can source will not power any modern laptop. My 2 year old Dell power supply is 90 Watts and shuts down the Duracell product in only a few seconds in both battery and inverter mode. It does a great job of powering my cell phone while camping however. It also powers off every time you start and stop your vehicle. I wouldn't recommend the product unless you have a very limited use case.

5nice itemJan 13, 2009
I use it to power an Asus 701 netbook. The power supply battery runs the 701 for more than two hours before it fades and the computer's battery kicks in. Plenty of time for most flights. Also handy to charge just about every gadget I own. Convenient portable energy for low-powered equipment.
