They are okay, the sellers ain'tNov 22, 2009 They work great with my office panasonic 7630; however, the sellers often sell the item refurbished even they said they are selling them NEW. DLN sold 8 pieces to me as new but 1 was actually refurbished and was not functional. Unfortunately, I brought them back to Hong Kong before I found the problem. Fortunately, DLN was willing to refund the item with shipping cost without me sending back the defected item.
I ordered the same item 6 months later from Price-break; I ordered 3 pieces and it was a disaster. All of them were refurbished, and only 1 was working as I was trying to use them 5 months later. I just wrote them a complaint email.
Beware of those who said "New", they are actually refurbished.
I just ordered 5 more pieces from DLN, and I hope they are not going to send refurbished items to me again.
Will keep you posted.
Excellent headsetNov 15, 2009 I bought this headset to use with my desktop AT&T EP 5962 2 line phone. It works great and I don't even need an ampleflier
works very wellNov 04, 2009 Now that I have this headset, I use it whenever I'm on the phone. I purchased one earlier, different brand, and it was not useful.: ie could not hear the conversation clearly, whereas this new one has a speaker control and is not cumbersome on the head or ear.
Plantronics Comparison M214 & M175Nov 04, 2009 With multiple house phones and multiple cell phones I needed some new headsets. Before ordering I was able to do side-by-side comparisons of the Plantronics M214C (M210) and the M175C (M110). Tried 4 phones. A Uniden 5.8, Uniden 2.4, Vtech 5.8, and LX9360 cell. Tests were done in a home-office setting.
The older Uniden 2.4 phone sounded rather "mushy" with both headsets.
On all other phones the 214C sounded much better and was the clear winner. More crisp and better fidelity. (it also costs less)
I suspect, but could not test the theory, the M175C has a better noise canceling design and would be a better choice in a noisy environment (e.g., your car). My experience with other microphones leads me to the opinion that "noise canceling" designs typically result in less fidelity.
In any event... my tests also bear out that your overall sound quality for home-wireless or cell phones is a function of the combination of the phone and the headset. The same headset on different phones can sound very different.
Solid HeadsetNov 01, 2009 I work from home and need a headset that can plug-in to my cordless phone for work calls. This headset is sturdy, comfortable, and (bonus!) does a surprisingly good job of minimizing background noise, which I've found not to be the case with other models.
