 So far so good...Mar 07, 2010
I've been using this case for about two months and so far I really like it. I love the color and it offers a good amount of protection without being too bulky. I dropped my phone on the elliptical at the gym and I think it hit every part of the machine on the way down to the floor. Luckily my case did its job and my phone survived! The only negative thing I would say about this case is that it does seem like the hard plastic part may crack. Mine hasn't yet, but I have read other reviews where people said theirs cracked and I can definitely see that happening.
 High Quality Protective Case but Color is misleading.Feb 04, 2010
I recently found myself needing to upgrade my old Hard Black Silicone Moshi case for my iPhone 3GS. The outer layer of my Moshi case was slowly peeling away leaving me with an unsightly worn looking case. Me being a frequent customer of Amazon due to all their great prices and deals searched for a new case and discovered Incipio. Nearly all of Incipio's iPhone cases have great reviews so I searched throughout their products and discovered this fantastic stylish case.
Being a Prime member I ordered the case and it arrived to my home in exactly 2 days. The first thing I noticed when I removed the package from the shipment box was the appearance. The Incipio case came packed in a visually stylish and pleasing package. The case is nicely displayed in the center and the information on the the case is on the back simply written and well placed.
The package came with the following: 1 Soft Silicone lining, 1 hard acrylic shell, 1 iPhone stand, 1 Micro-fiber cleaning cloth, 1 surface/screen protector, 1 set of instructions for surface/screen protector placement and 1 advert detaling their various cases for the iPhone. This review describes in detail each item separately as well as how it differs from the Moshi case I previously used.
Lets start first with the Silicone lining. I first want to say that I was extremely disappointed with the color. The picture shown on Amazon is about 5 shades lighter/brighter than the actual color of the case. To get a clear idea of what the color might resemble I want you to picture honey mustard. That's basically the color of this case. The color I was expecting was a bright energetic orange very similar to the orange I painted my room with. Unfortunately this isn't the case. I strongly urge that Amazon and Incipio update the reference photo that is displayed so that people won't feel disappointed with their purchase, resulting in a very bad review simply based in the color and not the overall quality of the case and also to help prevent any returns this might cause. Prevention is the best cure for a headache, or in this case unhappy customers. I however will base my review on the overall quality and appearance of the case as a whole instead of focusing on the color alone. (I am a little bummed about the color but I'm getting used to it as I'm writing this review).
The soft Silicone lining is one of two parts that make the complete case for your phone. This Silicone lining is more firm than soft and appears to be of very high quality material. To get an idea of the firmness of this lining think Art Eraser and you have a general idea of the firmness this lining has. I can tell that the lining is of high quality by several things. One is the smell. Cheap Silicone cases have a very strong urine like smell to them. They also stretch out and about when the phone is placed inside. Not so with this lining. With this case lining the phone was snuggly placed inside a perfectly fitted form. Holding the phone the case does not bend or loosen but rather feels firm and comfortable and pleasant to hold. I can tell my phone is secure and not going to stretch the case lining out or slowly loosen it. Unlike the Moshi case I was using prior to this the apple logo in the back is now covered and protected. While some may not like this I find comfort in the fact that the logo won't fade or chip away due to constant contact with my oily fingers. This also protects it from any mishaps like putting the phone in the same pocket or compartment as your keys. One recommendation to Incipio is to re-release these cases with brighter colors of the same family. For Instance this review is of the 'Burnt Orange' Color. Re-Release a new brighter orange like Mango or Tangerine. This will allow users like me who originally wanted those colors not feel cheated when they receive Honey Mustard instead.
The overall design is very pleasant to look at. The Silicone lining covers the volume and power button with similar shaped cut-outs that protect these buttons without hindering their use. They are actually still very easy to use and function the same way they would if the phone wasn't in a case. The Silicone lining also covers a bit more of the top and bottom of the screen but in a non intrusive way. The top part stops around 1/4 an inch above the top speaker while the bottom portion stops right under the Home button. Neither the Home button, headphone plug-in, vibrate/silence button or the two stereo speakers/docking area on the bottom are covered allowing easy access with out any difficulties whatsoever. Docking or connecting to an outlet can still be done without having to remove the case itself. Unlike other inferior cases where you have to go through the trouble of removing the case each time you wanted to dock or charge your phone. The Silicone lining also covers the edges of the front of the phone as well with out blocking any portion of the screen. This is a definitely a plus. With my Moshi case I placed my phone in my pocket to later find to my surprise the corner of the screen protector un peeled and slightly bent leaving a displeasing permanent bubble. That won't happen with this Silicone Lining. With this Silicone lining I now have comfort in knowing my iPhone is safely secure within, and protected from falls or drops that might unwittingly occur. (Not that I ever dropped it, Yet!).
The 2nd half of the Incipio iPhone case is the hard acrylic shell that fits firmly on the back of the Silicone lining (Think Turtle Shell and you have a very good idea of it's function). In this case the Acrylic Shell is crystal clear in color. The shell provides even more support for unwanted mishaps that might occur with your phone. The Acrylic Shell is designed so that when placed onto the back of the Silicone lining it provide support to not only the back of the iPhone but to each 4 corners as well which in my book is a good thing. If you ever dropped your iPhone you probably remember seeing it fall in slow motion. First it fell on one or several of the edges then finally on the front or back. Having this extra protection added in a stylish non intrusive way to the Silicone lining adds extra security with out taking away from the overall pleasant design and appearance. One idea I have for the Acrylic shell is to have it released in several colors so that people can mix and match them to their Silicone linings. Allowing variety and individuality from the owners.
Next we have the iPhone stand. If you ever watch Movies or TV shows on your iPhone then your will find this tiny stand to be very helpful. I have tested it and found it to be an excellent accessory to my phone. When placed in it's horizontal (wide screen) position it allows the phone to be viewed at the perfect angle, leaving your hands free to do other things like munch on snacks without greasing up the phone. The tiny stand is light and made of hard Silicone. This Black stand is around the size of the first part of a large male thumb (the part with the naiI).
The micro-fiber cleaning cloth included does an excellent job of removing oils, fingerprints , dust, dirt, lint, pet hair and anything else without scratching the glass of the phone. In fact it does such a good job I recommend using it before applying the screen protector that is also included with the Incipio case. This light gray Micro-fiber cloth is around 3.5 x 3.5 inches and has a small Incipio logo on the bottom right.
The Screen protector included is of excellent quality. Although not glare protected this screen/surface protector does an excellent job of protecting your screen from unwanted dirt, finger prints, lint, hair etc. You will still have to clean the screen even with the screen protector applied to help keep the screen looking smudge free. Cleaning the screen also helps keep the screen protector looking beautiful and helps it last longer. Women don't just dont pay attention to the way you dress and look anymore, they now check to your phone is clean too!
Overall the quality of the Incipio Silicrylic case is beyond my expectations . This high quality case will definitely protect my phone will keeping it pleasantly stylish. My only gripe is the color. Again the picture is misleading and most likely the same problem can be seen on the other Incipio Silicrylic cases featured on Amazon. The price: $24.99 wasn't to steep for such an awesome case but would be much more swallowable if you got what you thought you ordered. Again the issue is the color.
So what does that mean to you the prospective buyer? Simple it means when looking at any of the Incipio Silicrylic cases (or maybe all cases made by Incipio) expect to receive a case a few shades darker than the one featured in the picture. Also expect to receive one of the best high quality cases I have seen on the Market! I would rate 4.5 stars due to the color issue but I can't so 5 stars is my rating.

* Easy to hold and grip with out feeling bulky or flimsy.

* Comes with a high quality screen protector and Micro-Fiber Cloth. This alone is about $10.00
*Cool and handy iPhone stand included for viewing your movies and TV Shows hands free.
Cons
*The overall color of the case will be much darker than what's expected.
*The Acrylic hard shell should come in a variety of colors instead of just clear.
* The pricing is a bit steep for a iPhone case when compared to certain Incipio Silicrylic cases that come with 2 Silicone linings (the color part of the case) for less than the price of a single Silicrylic case. But regardless the quality is worth the price.
*Did I mention the Color?
* For $24.99 this package should come with 2 screen protectors not one.
*The screen protector can be a pain to place on your phones screen, especially with the poor pictures and instructions that have been written to guide you on the process.
(If you managed to do a poor job applying the Screen Protector don't worry. The screen protector is washable! Simply wash the protector as well as your hands with dish washing liquid and warm water. Air dry by simply and gently waving the Screen Protector in the air until dry. Then re-align the Screen Protector to the screen and apply slowly from the top. Use a credit/debit card to apply firm yet gentle pressure to help eliminate bubbles. If bubbles still show up look closely it might be a hair or lint. Re-wash the Screen Protector and you lint ridden hands again. Clean your iPhone screen again too. Re-apply the Screen protector and try again! If applied successfully clean your new Screen protected phone of any finger prints or water stains and enjoy! Trying this a few times I finally did it perfectly.... around my seventh frustrating try!)

 Not burnt orange...at allDec 07, 2009
I ordered this for a die-hard UT fan, thinking the burnt orange case would be right up his alley. However, it is not orange AT ALL. The photo provided by the manufacturer is not accurate. See the uploaded user photos that show its vomit yellow color before you buy this so you know what you'll actually get.
 The color is pink and not lavender like the ad said...disappointedNov 27, 2009
The color is not the same as the ad says. When I got it I thought I must have ordered pink but I didn't. It is supposed to be lavender but it isn't lavender. It is more pink than lavender. Otherwise, the item is okay.

This case gives great protection from falls and scratches while also fitting nicely in ones pocket. The hard back let's it easily slide in and out of the pocket, while the rubber edges give it good grip. I could not be happier with my choice of case.
