Setup at a business locationOct 07, 2009 Had previously bought two other cards with software
that worked very poorly. This card and software work excellent.
I installed it for a business application and I am very pleased.
Easy start up as the software is written well.
Recording by motion saves a huge amount of disk space!
Had it running about 2 months on Win 2000 day and night with no problems.
Planning on adding another card to the system.
There are better options out there, but not at this price.
Go ahead, buy it, you won't regret it.
I do not recommend anything unless I really like it!
Works great with XP SP3 for MEMay 24, 2009 I bought this card to go into a inexpensive Dell computer that I bought just for this purpose. I have Windows XP SP3 on it and nothing else. It works great. I can remote in from work and see what is going on at home. I am using 3 cameras that are also Lorex. I would purchase this again and have recommend it to others.

Save your moneyMar 13, 2009 As the other reviewer stated it will not work on XP SP3. Same exact error. Google revealed more of the same. This install was on a brand new pc with nothing other then the OS installed. I cant seem to locate any kind of support. If its not an OS issue their may be a compatability issue with the Core Duo or SATA drives. Either way it needs to be addressed by the manufacturer.

Not Working on WinXP SP3Feb 18, 2009 If Lorex returns my email and helps me fix this issue, then I will change my review, but I have a new 300Mhz Quad-core running WinXP (waiting for Win7 to upgrade). Lorex drivers installed fine. Video application installed okay. Drivers aren't signed for WinXP, so I had to click ok to that. Now I'm stuck... The application that runs the card is called VistaPro4Server. When it launches, I get an error "Cannot start video server", I click ok, and the application opens. I can edit application settings, but when I plug in a camera, the application totally crashes with an error signature, "AppName: vistapro4server.exe AppVer: 1.2.2.1 ModName: vistapro4server.exe
ModVer: 1.2.2.1 Offset: 0003c58b" Hope the vendor will be able fix my problem so I don't have to return the card. I submitted my request for help at http://sentinelcctvstore.lorextechnology.com/mediaresults.aspx?modelNo=QLR0440P

Poncho's reviewMay 12, 2008 I am enjoying what I was Expecting. I did a deep reserch on this DVR card and I knew what was going to receive tha's what I got. I am very happy with this purchase it's inexpensive and runs very good. I installed in my desk top using windows Vista home and I have no Problems. I am running 4 cameras and using an external drive for recording. I'm not a computers expert.
