 Great PurchaseNov 10, 2009
We purchased this at the recommendation of a friend. When we first brought our baby home from the hospital she hated it, but we tried it again around 3 weeks and we've used it every night since! She refused to sleep on her back at first and would only sleep in our arms, which was exhausting. So at three weeks we tried the Miracle Blanket again and she slept by herself in her crib all night (except to wake up and eat, of course).
I have never had the blanket ride up or in any way even get close to wrapping around her neck, as one reviewer mentioned. In fact, I'm not sure I can picture how that would happen if you were using it correctly. Occasionally, she will wiggle her arms out overnight, but this is a good sign that she is not swaddled too tightly, which I'm told can lead to suffocation.
best nighttime swaddleNov 05, 2009
i got this blanket when my son was 2 months old. we were using the halo sleepsack swaddling prior to that for nighttime sleeping. the velcro was noisy and the sleepsack was chafing his neck and chin. the first time we put him in the miracle blanket, he loved it! it's so soft and the material is breathable. it takes me several minutes to put it on him, but it's now become part of our bedtime ritual. by the time we're done putting it on, he's almost asleep!

 Great swaddle, but no miracles hereNov 05, 2009
I swaddled my oldest from day one...but my second didn't seem to like it, so I let my gaurd down. Well he never started sleeping through the night so i thought I would try the swaddle again but he could get out of them too easily. A friend recommended this swaddle, it is a great swaddle, he cannot get out of it, however we are still not sleeping through the night, and he isn't hungry, he just wants thd pacifier put back in his mouth...So it works for naptime, but not bedtime. If you are looking for a swaddle I highly recommend this one, but sometimes babies do what they want to do, regardless of what you do for or to them.

Absolutely a miracle, highly suggest all new parents have one. Started using on my little one at 5 weeks and the first night she slept 7 hours and now sleeps 10 hours every night at 4 months old. If she is screaming and nothing will quiet her down we will swaddle her up in the miracle blanket, put a binky in her mouth and she is out in minutes! It is truly amazing. We had tried 5 or 6 other swaddle blankets we received at the baby shower and she would wiggle out of every one of them. It's a little expensive however completely worth the extra sleep you and the family get.

I got this as a shower gift and was hesitant on using it...didn't want our baby to get too used to it. Well, after having a few nights of her not sleeping we tried it out and it does wonders. It is amazing how she will go from cranky and hysterical to calm and relaxed once you put the swaddle on. She only wakes up once a night for a diaper change and a quick bottle and goes straight back to sleep. This is the best way to keep her warm during the cold nights without having to worry about suffocating her with a blanket. I actually am on here to buy my second one so I have a back up when one is being washed. They are a little on the expensive side but like other reviews are saying it is well worth the money. You cannot put a price tag on peace of mind and a good nights rest. The only negative thing I can think of is how it isn't very convenient during those middle of the night diaper changes.
