5Simple and functionalOct 26, 2009
Just plug and play, this switch is simple and effective. Sound quality is good, and ti allows me to easily switch between speakers and my headset with no problems. Mine was $15.00 after shipping, great bargain for what I got.

1Poorly Planned Plantronics PC Headset Speaker SwitchJul 19, 2009
My short rebuke of the folks at Plantronics who designed this product is that they are NITWITS. The idea of allowing the PC speaker mode (as opposed to the headset mode) to automatically mute the microphone suggests that someone at Plantronics was suffering from sunstroke when they designed this item!

What is all the more criticizable about this product is that it arrived on the market long after Skype's own little round headset/ PC speaker switch (I own one), which has an independent microphone muting switch, arrived on the market.

Anyone who would consider buying such a switch wishes to make use of the PC speakers when the family in California, for example, is talking to cousins in, say, Honduras, and everyone at the home in California wishes to hear cousin Sonia-from-Honduras' voice. The advantage of the separate mute button for the mike is that everyone around the PC in California might wish to have a quick moment of discussion to which Sonia in Honduras shouldn't be privvy (should we send cousin Sonia more money this month or not? :)). You might as well invent a family car with only two doors - both inventions contain an element of the oxymoronic!

Plantronics' replacement product for the same Skype product (the Skype product is no longer available - at least not here in the US, though I got mine while in Europe) represents a giant leap backwards, which probably explains why Plantronics has ceased its production. Hopefully, they will devise a new one that resembles the superior product that Skype originally came up with (if not, Skype should re-order a large batch of the old product).

5Best bang for your buck!!Apr 20, 2009
After trying several tone sucking devices I found a friend with this and I liked it. Cheap, clean and simple.

I have 20 years of high end studio experience and this thing is transparent as it gets. My friend claims it takes a little out of the low mids, but I still have yet to hear it and I'm using Genelec monitors and I'm extremely picky about what goes into my signal path. My friend uses the little cheap Mackies and if you ask me anything that will suck some low end out of those is doing him a favor.

This Audio Switcher is exactly what every home studio person needs to switch between headphones and speakers.

5Great Headphones to Speakers SwitchMar 28, 2009
I bought two of these and love them. They are perfect when you need to switch between headphones (with or without a microphone) and speakers.

1My order was canceled, what should I review, bad service?Mar 13, 2009
My order was cancelled after I was told it was shipped. I received a full refund, but I needed the switch not the money. I am still looking for another provider.

However this is a great product, I use one at my office.
