This was a great item we needed it quickly for the children's demonstration. It arrived safely packed and quickly. Easy to use and transport. Compact and not too heavy for even the kids to pack around. Would be nice if it had a protective cover and a way to keep cords attached to the unit but we managed. It has a great output for sound even if not using an I-Pod. Would definitely recommend it for activites that require music and/or speaking to audience. Also got a great deal with shipping via Amazon:)

At our summer overnight camp we were looking for an easy way to set up music and microphone for sound. We used to use a bulk fender system for every night time activity, but it was to difficult for many of our staff to move around and store all the parts. This purchase was a MUCH better option. Is it lightweight, easy to move, easy to store, and very easy to operate. I wished it would be a little bit louder as its not great for groups of 150 or more.

Great portable system for on the go party... uses either Ipod Or rca jack devices to plug in. perfect for outside BBQs and such ... only drawback Volume could be a skosh louder.. but If ya hook it to an amp its cool..... Oh Its perfect for when ya lose power it has a 12 hr battery!!! we was playing a
car show and power went out (storm) so, we was the only ones still kickin we had enough power to play for 2 mo hours while the rest of the place was lost..everyone migrated to our sound it was cool...

This was a hit at a recent party. The size is compact but the sound is very good. You can plug a guitar to it, which my son likes to do. a very good deal for the price.

When I first got this thing I was exited, the sound was great, it rocked! THEN... After a few months of use (about once a week) the charge would not hold, the sound got bad, and now it's just a big paper weight. I kept good care of it, the times I used it were always closed doors and away from the sun, water, and heat. So I don't get why it got so degraded so fast.
I can still use it if I keep it plugged, but the sound is actually better when it is unplugged! weird but true, when it is plugged it sounds like a busted speaker.
I will now go through the pain of contacting the vendor and sending this huge thing back to them for repair or replacement, the shipping will cost me more than what this thing is truly worth.
Long story short: I give it two stars because it did work at the beginning, technically still works when plugged to an outlet. But sound quality is below par for something that costs more than $250
