This item states that it can repair up to 30 disc per pads (its more like 15 to 20). You have to load and unload pads through the process and hit three buttons. Its time consuming and sometimes has to be repeated once or twice on dvds. Save yourself the trouble and buy a little better quality disc fixer.

I use this all the time. I have four children who are always getting their discs scratched up. Isn't going to fix a really bad scratch but it does a pretty good job. Another thing I really like about this model is that it will repair and clean the little mini discs like those for the Game Cube. Most of the ones out their won't fit those little guys. You do have to change the right side from repair pads to the polishing pads, but the left door takes care of the cleaning so you don't have to mess with that pad.

I have tried it on 4 disk so far. It works pretty well. Got small scratches and cd played much better. One CD I had was pretty scratched up (had been in my car console too long) and although I tried it twice not all the scratches came out and CD still skips. BUT for a few, not so deep scratches this works great. Also convenient because all the disk and cleaners are stored within the unit. You do have to switch out the cleaning heads 3 times for a complete polish/repair/clean, but it only take about 3 minutes for each cycle so total cleaning time per disk is about 15 minutes.

Was quite disappointed in this as it had been rated high. The unit destroyed the disc that we were trying to repair but could not return it as it was past a returnable timeline. Unfortunately it was a waste of my money.

It fixes and cleans discs pretty well but is very loud and slow. The real problem however was with the vendor (Ritz Camera) who have botched up every order I ever made with them somehow.
