Great quality for the priceJul 13, 2009 Things I love about this player - battery life is excellent. Sound quality is great if you invest more then $3 in new headphones, headphones that came with unit are pretty bad. Screen is easily readable, if you are having problems seeing it, set the backlight to green, since it appears to be the brightest one. The interface is easy to use and easy to navigate. Has several languages support for file names and mp3 tags including best support for Cyrillic. The main reason I got this player is because it is cheap and pretty much can withstand a lot of abuse. It's been kicked, dropped, sat on, stepped on, left in 110 heat, and it still works.
Great choiceJun 12, 2009 I already had an MP3 but wanted to get my husband his own. I have to say, I'm jealous of his! It's very user friendly, very light weight. Best thing is it plugs right into your PC to download- no finding the right USB cord.
nextar MP3May 23, 2009 Received product in a timely manner and just the way it was advertised. Very happy with it.

It is what it isFeb 18, 2009 I ordered this for our 9 year old son - an electronic whiz. His third MP3 player. The first, a Sandisk, lasted 1 1/2 years. The second, this same Nextar, we bought at K-Mart, I think for about $20, and it mysteriously disappeared. (Lost, stolen, traded, who knows?). So I invested $25 in this one from Amazon. While it was en route, we found the exact same MP3 in black, with a different manufacture name (but identical in all other respects, including functionality) for $10 on sale at Menards!!!! My son decided his Christmas money was more wisely invested in the $10 one and who can blame him? So this one became mine. I have downloaded about 10 CD's onto it with no problems. I did not read any instructions, and I am not a technowhiz at all. It is definitely plug and play. You can create folders for each CD. However, I have quickly learned why people invest money in more advanced MP3s with large screens. It is very cumbersome to navigate from one CD to another, if you want to listen to a particular CD. This player is best if you just want to turn it on and listen to every song one after the other. A good deal for $10, but perhaps we should have put the $25 towards something better.

Not ReliableJan 24, 2009 We purchased two of these for our kids (6 and 9). My sons has worked OK with a few minor glitches (it freezes up and you have to turn it off and back on) but that is acceptable for the price. My daughters displays a file system error when you turn it on and when I try to access it from the computer it will not recognize it so it is useless. It only lasted a month.
