I bought a pebble about 8 months back and use it frequently while traveling. It looks great and the controls are just perfect and are easily accessible while traveling. The sound quality is great too ( Obviously, you have to use a good set of headphones to notice this . The ear plugs that come with it are mediocre ). It looks robust so far and hopefully it lasts long too.

What I love most about this player is it hangs around my neck so I can do work around the house without the cord getting caught on anything.

I do like the sound, size and convenience of this MP3 made by Samsung. It is especially convenient when I run. The only bad thing about this device is that when it gets sweat on it or heats up under my shirt it stops playing. Sometimes they start again... sometimes they don't. Sometimes after it shuts down the light display stops working, or it gets stuck on one color and stays lit. I have had 5 in the past year. I use mine every day, always when I run and up to two hours at a time.
Recently I put a baloon around it to keep it dry. It kept it dry but I guess being enclosed caused it to heat up - it quit playing and wouldn't start again. Next I tried cutting out a very small section of the baloon at the botton. I wrap a narrow pice of tape around the neck to keep sweat from driping down into it. The hole in the bottom of the baloon seems to allow the heat to escape and the baloon keeps it dry. I use a small safety pin to pin the baloon to the outside of my shirt which keeps it in place. Being on the outside of my shirt, rather than underneath, keeps the device drier and cooler.
Having the device on a necklace rather than being clipped to my sleeve or a hat, like an IPOD, makes it less of a nuisance and less awkward. You can also operate the device by FEEL rather than sight. Both features make running easier.

This is the best MP3 player I've ever seen. It's compact but throws out sound like a stereo system. I Love It! Great in cars too.

This was purchased by my spouse, not me - first MP3 Player as well. Excellent purchase and we may buy another.
