 Slick and slim, and oh so functional...Nov 19, 2009
This will be a quick down and dirty review of the Seidio Innocase II Spring Clip Holster for the iPhone. I am not one to usually write reviews on products but I felt compelled to share my thoughts on this product. Why? Because this little baby is beautiful, functional, and ultra slick and slim--everything I wanted in a holster but had been unable to find in any other brand. I had wanted a belt clip holster for my iPhone 3GS since I upgraded; however, all the models, which were only a few to choose from, in the AT&T store protruded out a good deal from my belt, which I hated. Plus they created a noticeable bulge under my suit jacket. Therefore, I was skeptical about finding one that would not be cumbersome, but I went ahead and checked out a number of online sites for an iPhone holster but found none that did not have the same problem with size. Then I stumbled upon this holster and checked out the pictures, which were promising, and read a few reviews that all rated the holster well, so I made the leap and bought it. The result is that I am thrilled that I ordered this particular holster because it is ideally shaped for my needs. I can clip it on to my belt or just my pants and it hugs closely to my body; I do not even notice that I am wearing it. So I would highly recommend this holster for anyone looking for a stylish black belt clip for your iPhone. In addition, it has the feature of being able to rotate the iPhone while it is in the holster and attached to you, though I never use that function, but some might want that option. I definitely give the holster five stars! You will not be disappointed with this product.

I have had this case for several weeks. It is solid and does a good job of protecting the iphone. I have dropped my iphone 3 times without any damage. Some have complained about the belt clip being flimsy or breaking. It may be slightly less hefty than others but so far I have not had a problem. The clip mechanism is superior because it has a piece under the spring clip that holds the top of the phone snug and does not allow one to accidentally push the phone up and and open the clip such as when you get in the car and the phone catches your seat. The phone does rub on my skin about the belt. I am always stuffing my shirt in behind the top of the belt clip to keep it from rubbing.
It seems to be advertised as a solution for inserting the iphone into an accessory device. This had to be an advertising afterthought. The bottom part that slides over the phone and clips into the top part is VERY difficult to release. I had to use a small screwdriver to release it. If the reason you are getting this case is to be able to easily insert the phone it an accessory then this is not the case for you. The slot on the bottom where the accessories plug in is wide enough so that my car iphone accessory jack does fit into it while it did not on an otterbox case. I doubt it would slide into an audio accessory.
This case would not provide much protection for moisture. You can set the case with the front down on a table. The case would prevent the front panel from being scratch on the table.
The opening for the camera is plenty wide and does not interfere with the camera operation.
The texture of the case feels smooth with a slight amount of drag as you rub your thumb on it. You could easily hold the phone with slippery hands.
There is plenty of room for the side buttons, aux. audio jack, and the standby button.
The swivel moves 180 degrees and feels solid. The stop for the swivel is long and molded into the case. It does not look easy to break. The release is responsive. I have never had a misfire when removing or installing the phone into the clip.
I give it a 4 because of the mis-information about it being a case made for easily inserting into an accessory such as an audio amplifier for the iphone. I don't think you will find this practical.

The case conforms nicely to the phone. The fit is perfect - all access cuts to controls and insert points are excellent. The cover is thin, durable and grips well. The adjustable holster is comfrotable - not too bulky. The phone sits in the cradle with a snug fit, and the spring latch works securely and flawlessly - seems durable and trustworthy. The protective lining for the phone facia is a nice touch, too. An outstanding case overall!

Wanted a case to protect my new IPhone 3G s and this is a great one. Protects without bulk and the belt clip is sturdy and rotates for comfort. Feel secure when I walk with it, great investment!!
