 wow. this battery made my G1 ALLPOWERFUL!!Nov 17, 2009
i stream music, play gameboy with my emulator, browse the web, take calls and text ALL DAY- and i still have 20% at the end of the day. If you are not a heavy user, the battery will last you about 2 days. I LOVE MY SUPER CHARGED BATTERY!!!

I ordered this battery to replace the stock one on my G1 phone. I am well pleased with the purchase. The phone is indeed thicker but it feels better and more durable in my hands, the stock one felt too thin in my hands. The battery life is great, it took me over 72 hours to finally kill the battery, it was hanging at 2% for about 3 hours before I finally just called someone to drain the battery out. I do recommend this battery to anyone wanting to get more endurance from their own G1's.
Only thing I did not like, I did not pay for the 2 day shipping, so had to wait a week. Just pay the extra for 2 or 3 day shipping, you wont be disappointed.

I was very sceptical about buying this. I had read several reviews that said that it worked great and that the added size made the phone more comfortable to hold. And to my surprise, they were right. Not only does my battery last a respectable amount of time now (I actually haven't had it die on me so I'm not sure how long it would last in a bind, at least 2 days) and it fits more comfortably in the hand. With the keyboard open it is significantly more comfortable to hold.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with the purchase. My phone looks like a brick now, but who cares when you have a battery that doesn't die you you daily. Really, I think my G1 should have come with this battery as a default. The factory battery that the phone originally came with is kind of an embarrassment.

Perfect For My NeedsSep 29, 2009
This is exactly what I needed to be happy with my G1. I no longer get frustrated at its battery life, and can even go two days without charging. I now leave my GPS and WiFi on much of the time, and no longer fuss with trying to conserve juice.
The extra bulk hasn't hampered me in the least. It still fits in my pockets, except for tight pants where the G1 didn't fit even with the regular battery. I adapted to typing on it within a week. I also find the phone to be more pleasant to hold for conversations. The camera lens is also more protected from fingerprint smudges and accidental finger photographs with the recessed housing.
I highly recommend this for anyone who's been annoyed at their G1's battery life. Doubly so if, like me, you rely on it for navigation and have been caught out on your bicycle with battery in the red. Well worth the cost.
