Works Well but.....Feb 25, 2010 I like the SkipDr. This one works fine, doesn't take up much space but for the price it should come with the ac/dc power plug. Using 6 batteries in this thing is a joke!
I have an older model and thankfully the power cord worked in this one. Make sure that you push the dvd/cd/game down in or it will just sit and spin in one spot! My 9yr old figured that out quickly! ;)
I have only cleaned 2 cds so far and it worked very well. But the bottle of repair fluid is very small so I recommend that you purchase the bigger bottle when you buy this repair system.
Not worth the moneyJan 18, 2010 I don't think this worth the money. I got the model with out the A/C adapter and now I regret it. The product works but it wears out the 6 AA batteries it takes to run it after about 6 disk cleanings. It does clean and polish very well but after the 4th disk I noticed the motor was slowing down and starting to hesitate, like its struggling the turn. I put brand new batteries in too! I would recommend the hand powered model or maybe the next model up with the A/C adapter.
Good productDec 31, 2009 Just received the SkipDr Deluxe and processed 2 unreadable "Halo 3: OTDC" discs. Both discs work fine now.
The Halo game cost between $45 and $60, so this immediately saved me some money and probably will again in the future.
My only negative comment (consistent with other comments) is that the $10 AC Adapter is NOT included. It requires 6 AA batteries (...not included either). The SkipDr Premier DOES include an AC Adapter, so that might be a better option.
Side note: The Xbox 360 is sensitive to getting bumped while games are playing and will scratch/ruin discs easily. This product complements the Xbox 360 nicely for households with rambunctious kids.
Works ok but is a low quality item.Dec 18, 2009 Item will fix a scratched disk, but, it seems to struggle all the way through the process. Finished disk also looks terrible (lots of vertical lines etc). Also, don't expect to run more than on or two disks through at a time. It gets hot and smells after any more than that.
SimpleNov 25, 2009 Not much I can say about this, but it worked. My 1st Wii started going bad and Wii Sports Resorts was the first to get covered with scratches. Bought this in hopes that we could play the disc again. And...It worked.
