Not so great afterallMar 30, 2008 I found this earphones rather useful for the first few weeks. They worked well for a few weeks as they fitted my ears well and I could wear them during my workout at the gym. The sound was great but with occasional static. However, everything went downhill rather fast thereafter. They became very noisy, wouldn't fit as well, one side stopped working all together, and before I knew it they wouldn't work at all. Anyone interested in short lived amusement can buy them, otherwise save your money by not buying them and invest it in something more worthwhile.

Not for use while moving!!!Jun 23, 2007 I recently purchased these earphones, and boy am I sorry... Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I can barely stand to use them.
They are very comfortable. The sound quality isn't half bad, either. They can be a little bassy if you're used to the Apple earbuds, but they do reproduce a better overall sound from the player...
...that is, as long as I remain perfectly still and do not breathe.
When I do breathe, the sound of it in my head is louder than the music. Everytime the wire rubs against anything, the sound of the friction is transferred right into my ears, as well. There is a "whishing" sound in my ear at the slightest (& I mean SLIGHTEST) breeze. Walking with them is impossible. I can barely move around my house with them on (even that creates enough of a breeze.) Once I settle into my lazyboy & scooch in just right, I can plug in & enjoy the music, as long as I take shallow breaths & don't move my head. yippie.
I know most folks here (& at several other sites) think that these are the solution for those of us who can't afford the "really high quality" ($300+) in-ear earphones, but my experience with these things so far (about a month) is like having a severe headcold that comes with a really good backing soundtrack.
Given the reviews written by others, I'm thinkin' the fault may be with me, rather than the earphones (making me VERY glad I didn't lay out more for some other in-ear phones) but just the same, I can't be the only one who's going to have this reaction to 'em, and I figured my review might prevent someone else from catching my musical headcold.
I'm going back to the Apple earbuds... They're a bit uncomfortable & tinny, but after the amount of research I did on these before buying them, I'm a little gunshy about laying out more money on an unknown product, no matter the reviews... With the earbuds, at least I know what to expect. (Maybe I'll find a good friend or two who'll be willing to share earwax with me & let me test out some other earphone products, but until then, I'm going with what I know...)

GREATOct 22, 2006 I bought a pair of these earphones a few months ago and they are great. The sound quality is excelent, the external noise isolation is amazing! It comes with 3 sets of rubbers to ajust to your ears so the match is perfect.
I would definitely buy them again!

Great inexpensive in ear headphoneAug 02, 2006 I've had my ultra Ears for just over 3 months and love them. This is my first pair of in ear (canal) phones, they blow away any standard earbuds and compare very nicely to the Senneheiser HD 497 over ear headphones that I replaced. These phones use silicone adapters (two sizes provided) to create the seal with your ear and are very comfortable (I wear them for 4-8 hours a day).
I can't compare to other similar items, but can provide some info for people looking to make the switch to in ear headphones.
*The sound is much better than earbuds, although, you have to take care to keep the wire from rubbing on your clothes, the sound is transmitted to your ears. I wear mine swapped and upside down, that way I can wrap the cord around my ear, this eliminates any noise transfer.
*With the silicone adapters, when you sweat, they tend to get slippery, breaking the seal with your ear thus reducing the sound quality (no worse than standard earbuds). A simple wipe on the shirt takes care of this.
*You've heard it before, don't wear these when your safety depends on you hearing things in your environment. They do a very good job of filtering external sounds, which can be good or bad, depending on your situation.

failureMay 09, 2006 these headphones were great at first, but then failed (right ear stopped working) after 3 months. I sent the orginal pair back to the manufacturer for a replacement, but the replacement pair also failed with the same problem after a couple more months. Stay away from these.
